How do I get to San Miguel El Alto?
The nearest major airport is Guadalajara International Airport (GDL). From there, you can arrange transportation with our provider or rent a car for the approximately 2 hour drive. We do not recommend taking a taxi from the airport. Please see the travel page for more information.
Will tickets be provided for the event?
Yes, tickets will be provided for entry to the wedding and reception for those that RSVP. Please be sure to bring the tickets with you or you will not be able to enter the event.
Do I need a passport to attend?
Yes, a valid passport is required for travel to Mexico. If you don’t have one, please apply well in advance.
Are children welcome?
While the wedding is family-friendly, and children are welcome to attend with those that are traveling to San Miguel for the event, we ask that those who are not traveling to attend the wedding contact us regarding attendance of children under the age of 12.
Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony will be indoors, but the reception venue includes outdoor areas.
What is the dress code for your wedding?
The dress code is formal attire.
What type of ceremony will it be?
It will be a traditional Catholic ceremony. All faiths are welcome.
Will there be transportation to the venue?
All locations for the event are within walking distance. Please let us know if you need additional transportation to and from the wedding venue or reception.
What is the weather like in October in San Miguel?
October typically has mild and pleasant weather, with temperatures ranging from 60°F to 80°F. We recommend bringing a light jacket for the evenings
What is the weather like in Punta de Mita in October?
Punta Mita in October typically experiences warm and humid weather with temperatures ranging from 75°F to 85°F. While the rainy season is winding down, occasional showers are possible, so packing light, breathable clothing and a rain jacket is recommended.
Will meals be provided during the reception?
Yes, a full meal will be served at the reception, along with drinks and desserts. Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions when submitting your RSVP.
Are credit cards accepted in San Miguel?
Credit cards are not widely accepted in San Miguel El Alto, so we encourage attendees to bring cash for convenience. It’s a good idea to check with your bank before traveling to see if you can purchase Mexican pesos (MXN) at a competitive exchange rate. Additionally, ATMs are available in town, but having cash on hand is recommended for smaller vendors and local businesses.
Will transportation be provided from San Miguel to Punta de Mita?
Yes! More information regarding transportation to Punta de Mita and associated cost will be provided as we get closer to the big day.
Can I bring a plus-one?
If your invitation includes a plus-one, they are welcome to join. Please include their name when you RSVP.
